It's pretty much inevitable that I miss the following every day when I go to work: my hubby, my kitties, and sleep.





SO...here is a recent picture of my kitties. I'd post one of J, but there are too many good ones to chose from. He's a cutie!

November Parties!

We got him! This was from my Dad's surprise 50th birthday party! We were anxious to see if he was surprised for REAL, but this picture assured me that we had been victorious! Nice! My sister-in-law Lauren, my mom, and I had been planning and planning for a long time. The party was a success for sure! The only glitch was the one typo in the zip code on the invitations I had made at a local print shop. I gave them the text on a Word document online and triple checked it, but there was a communication error somewhere=( Other than that, Mom did a great job with the food and Lauren's decorations were awesome!

That same weekend, I threw a baby shower for my long-time friend Angela. Sadly, my camera died and I couldn't take pictures. I had a wonderful decoration idea that ended up being very cute! I will give credit to my dance studio, Dance World, for this idea. I didn't come up with it myself. This was their centerpiece idea at a baby shower for one of the instructors.

Here it was in a nutshell:

1. I ordered a few dozen high float (better than helium) balloons from a local florist.
2. We separated all the balloons into bunches of 4-5 balloons.
3. Individual centerpieces: We tied the pretty ribbons of each bunch of balloons together, in a bow, around a jar of baby food. We kept the balloons 4-5 feet above the baby food jar
4. We placed 5 of these centerpieces in a row going down the long table where the guests sat.

It was really pretty! You walked in and immediately noticed the high balloons. However, when people took a closer look they noticed they were stationed to baby food jars.

Three-Room Update

Recently I posted pictures of the three room project we have been working on for some time. We were generously blessed with hardwood flooring from some dear friends. You can read my below post to see what all we had to do to these rooms. Here is the finished project....so far!

Please take note that we still have to "accessorize (lol)" and put in lamps, curtains, pictures, small tables....you know the deal! Therefore, it's a work in progress. This is the end of stage 1...if you will=) My hubby did an amazing job with the floor, trim, knocking down cabinets, and more! We also enjoyed getting to paint together.

****Picture of the entryway. This color is a more dark grayish-blue color than the picture lets on. I think it looks almost hunter green here.

Here is a picture from the entryway to the living room to the dining room. As you can see, all three rooms flow into each other. The entryway is painted Restoration Hardware-Blue Sage. The living room is painted RH-Light Silver Sage. The Dining Room is painted RH-Silver Sage. We painted RH-Light Silver on all of the trim. The lovely couch and chaise lounge are fro American Signature.

I'm so embarrassed I didn't clean the mirror before taking this picture=( I promise I dust and Windex every day. It must have been the dining room's turn this day!

Entryway, Formal Living, and Dining Room

Let me start off by saying these renovations have already been mostly completed. I hope to have pictures of the completed rooms sometime next week! Since we took the below pictures, these rooms have been completely renovated with hardwood floors, crown molding, new trim, AND we have painted each of these rooms. I'm just about done painting the second coat on the trim in the entry way. So CLOSE!

Disclaimer: I want to acknowledge how hard my husband has worked. He put down these floors himself as well as the crown molding and trim. I have tried to assist him where I can with things like holding up the other end of the crown molding and cleaning up excess glue from the floors. However, the credit belongs to him for sure! We have done an excellent job partnering up to paint too! We painted all the rooms with colors from Restoration Hardware.

All we have left to do is for me to finish the second coat of paint on the trim in the entry way and for J to finish two pieces on the floor to complete the entryway. So close!

Part 1 - Entryway, Formal Living Room, and Dining Room. I'm not sure the video shows up correctly. I had some problems uploading it. It should be a short clip of J asking me to take some pictures so we could see the progress of these rooms.



J knocked down cabinets that had been added to this wall. You'll see in some of the other pictures there wasn't a set of cabinets on the other side. It looked really lopsided. J sanded down this wall and afterwards we painted Restoration Hardware's Light Silver Sage in there. There's such a nice entrance to the dining room now!




After tearing out the old trim, J patched up places like this in the formal living room and dining room. New Vents from Lowe's were put in as well.

First Bath!

We are currently painting three rooms in our house. (Pictures will come soon on that!) Our sweet little kitties decided to get in the paint a little. SO.....we had to give them their first bath. Jonathan held and I scrubbed! We were so amazed at how good they were. It was definitely weird for them, but they were so good! We have great kitties!

Afterwards, we let them out and they ran RIGHT to our bed!

This is not related to the bath, but it's cute. Sophia cuddled up in the dust pan. This is also a preview of the beautiful hardwood floor my hubby worked so hard to put down! We're still touching up the trim paint so pardon the mess!=)

The furbabies!

My hubby gave me the sweetest gift for my birthday in Sept. He got me two sweet little kittens. I love cats! Vit is all boy and Sophia is all girl! She just looks at you with those "hold me!" eyes and people melt. Vit is also a cuddle bug when he wants to be for sure! They are sweet little guys! I miss them right now for sure! Looking forward to getting on home! Here is a video of the first day we got them. They had just got done playing hard in the garage so they were kind of tired. Vit is first then it pans to Sophia.

Our Wedding Day - The Professional Shots!

I'd like my first post to be about my new adventure! My hubby and I tied the knot on 08.30.08 and had a beautiful wedding day! The ceremony was the most meaningful experience I have had! Thank you Mom and Dad for an amazing wedding! Jonathan and I both thank you!!

We had a sweet church ceremony and a lovely reception at a beautiful house in my hometown. The ceremony was sweet and emotional! J was amazing! I felt like my dress and hair were both so romantic. Our closest friends and family were there....it was truly something else!

Here's to the beginning of forever and all the adventures that go with it!

Here's the dress: I wasn't even out of the fitting room all the way when my Mom and Matron of Honor were like "That's it." I had already tried it on a week prior and could NOT stop thinking about it. When they came with me to the official "hunt for the dress" I saved it for last. I wanted everything to be "pretty and romantic" and the lace detail on this dress did just that! I loved my wedding dress!!

Here are the notorious 4 inch heels=) Originally the seamstress at the store said she wouldn't alter the length of the dress because it could "compromise the dress." I didn't want to trip all day on my wedding day so we got huge heels! Eventually, we had the seamstress in my hometown alter the dress when I came down for the wedding anyway. She did an amazing job!

Here is the veil I will never be able to get over! I'm obsessed with it! It was so special and perfect and full of romance. I loved, loved, loved the lace detail!!

My hubby started goofing off while we were walking to our next stop for pictures. She saw this and had him re-enact it. I'm so glad he did it again! It's one of my favorite pictures!!!

Here are the groomsmen and their awesome tuxes. I so love all-black! J did an excellent job picking them out!!!

The "Farmer and Wife" picture we took. Look at my bouqet! There was no question it was going to be long elegant calla lillies...but it suprised me at how amazing they were on that day!



Me and my hubby underneath the veil. It was a sweet picture for such a sweet day. Marrying him was such an amazing and spiritual experience. I'll never forget the moment when he saw me for the first time in my dress and veil. It was like time stopped and we were in this time warp. Nothing else was going on other than he and I. He's such an incredibly deep person. I see some grooms that go through the motion and that was definitely not the case with my guy! You could see that he was really taking in every moment and it's signifigance.

Here is our fabulous wedding party! We certainly had a great group. I had known all of my bridesmaids over 10 years. I knew one over 20 years! My matron of honor, Angela (far left) is expecting her first baby. She was so cute in her dress!



We were in the limo my parent's rented on our way to the reception! I LOVE this picture!
