I'm having a complete blast planning a lingerie shower for a friend of mine. The shower is next month, but I decided to go ahead and order the supplies I would need for decorations. I am in charge of decorations and some food items. The games, favors, batchelorette accessories have been divided amongst some of the other hostesses.
I decided that if I found decent (AND inexpensive) linens for the tables, I'd purchase them for this shower. I figured that I'd certainly be able to use them for future parties if they were of good quality.
I looked all over the Internet and found this site that was not only user friendly, but had a great selection for even better prices! I found a satin 90"x 90" table cloth for the food table for $9.99!
I also found these organza table covers for less than FIVE DOLLARS!

They have all kinds of products for showers, parties, dinners...you name it! The site is very user friendly. The products not only LOOK much better than those on the other party supply websites, but they are also much cheaper! I am definitely going to be using this site for future events!

Valentine's Day 2010
J and I had a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day!
He surprised me with beautiful roses in my favorite colors and a sweet balloon that said "I love you!=) Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday...always has been. He definitely made it special!
I had a nice dinner planned for us that evening. We ended up deciding it would be fun to snack on it instead of sitting down with the formal china. We had steak, bacon wrapped scallops, steamed asparagus, and roasted potatoes.
We ate our goodies and watched that movie "Couples Retreat." It was funny, but not as funny as we had imagined. Either way, we had a nice time hanging out and enjoying the evening together!

Exciting New Health Development
Health is very important to me. I do take vitamins and supplements every day to help with my overall health. Recently someone told me about taking Vitamin D3 supplements because many people are lacking nutrients humans get from the sun! The damaging affects of the sun have been reported for many decades. Because of this, many people have done what they can to protect themselves from damage they could potentially get from sun rays using items such as sun block lotions. This is great for our skin, but it also causes us to miss out from nutrients we are missing out from the sun.
Recently, I ordered some D3 from True Essentials. I suggest you go to this website and take a look at their D3. I've done my research on companies that carry vitamin D3 and it really seems like they carry a really good one.
If you go to this website: http://www.trueessentials.net/index.asp?repid=6559818 , you will click on "Products" (top left button), then click "All Products." Once in the "All Products" section, you will then go to the second column of links and click on "Vitamin D3" at the very bottom of that section of links.

We have music!
My instructor told me he picked out the music for our Tango/Paso Doble performance in June. Very excited!

We are also working on costumes as well. I hoping to look for a skirt similar to the one Yulia is wearing in the Paso Doble post below. Crossing my fingers!

Never said I was tech savvy....
Recently, we got my PC connected to the Internet. J's laptop has been connected since we got married and moved in the house. I've simply been using his computer instead.
One of our tech savvy friends helped us hook both computers up to the same connection. While he was there he suggested something to help my PC run faster and even showed me how to install it. Apparently, I should have had HIM (or something else who was also tech savvy) come in and install it... because I might have done something to my PC=( Tech support from the product I purchased indicated it could be something MAJOR or it could be something minor. My friend has been gracious to come over this weekend and see if he can fix what I did. I'm hoping for the best! Kind thoughts and prayers are appreciated!!!
When I'm back up and running, I want to post a picture of the new cool item we were given as a gift for our home! It was a fantastic gift with an even BETTER story as to how we received it.

Shower Season is Upon Us
I have been asked to co-host a lingerie shower for a friend of mine getting married this spring. I consider myself somewhat of a pretty decent shower hostess=) I have fun throwing them at least!
At these types of functions, many people will decorate the food tables/gift tables with confetti. I'm REALLY not a huge fan of shiny metallic confetti at ALL...
When looking for decoration ideas for our red/black themed lingerie shower, I actually found confetti that doesn't look like it belongs at a child's birthday party! It's pretty cute and certainly appropriate for our theme:

Christmas 2009
I'm so late with this post! Here is our summary of Christmas 2009!
J and I always have a private holiday dinner with just the two of us the weekend before we head out to visit family during the holidays. We have done this every Thanksgiving and Christmas since we have been married. This year for Christmas, it was our turn to visit J's family up North! Here are some of the pics.
**********
J's really excited about Christmas=)
Our Christmas dinner! Since it's just the two of us, we had ham, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Obviously, we still had puh-LENTY of leftovers!
We took our furbabies on the trip with us. Love them! This was one of the more quiet moments=)
Here are some of the scenery pictures we took while on our visit.
More snow....
Last but now least....the snow boots J got me for Christmas! (Previously mentioned in below post) This Southern girl had her feet protected. It's kind of ironic that I decided to take this picture on the one patch of land without snow on it=)
